Cross-Country racing is an important part of Club life. From November through to March, when the weather is often bitterly cold and wet, what more could you want but to meet up with club colleagues in the corner of a sodden field and put yourself through hell?
But it's good for the soul, builds team spirit and provides excellent stamina training for the road race season to follow.
Woodstock Harriers participate in the Oxford Mail Cross-Country League, a competition which comprises 5 races over varying courses starting in early November and finishing in early March.
